The Miracle of Christmas.
There is a lady that lives in my town that I was made aware of. She is struggling bad living in a motel with 4 kids. I know where she works but I never met her. A friend told me her story. When she comes to work next she will be given an envelope. All it says on the outside is “The Miracle of Christmas”. On the inside she will find a gift card and cash and they will give her a bag with 4 candy canes also. No one knows my name there. This will truly be a miracle for her. When I set this up with the manager, I kind of expected him to keep it quiet. When I came back in he was already telling all the help and they were smiling from ear to ear. They all looked at me with amazement on their faces. I handed the manager the bag of candy canes and said this goes with the letter. He looked like he had been caught with his hands in the cookie jar but I figure the lady will be called a lot sooner than when she comes to work next. I would have loved to seen the look on her face when she opened the card, but somehow I will know what happens. This act was my Christmas present to me!
