Had a nice experience Wednesday. I was getting my food at the China Star for the train when a lady came in with her 5 children. Her bill was 43 dollars and I don’t know what type of card she had but she was short and had to send her son out to the car to get more money. He came back in with several bills crumpled up, all of which told me the lady was short on money. I told the clerk to give them their card and money back as I set down my food and pulled out my wallet and handed her a hundred dollar bill I had been saving for a rainy day situation. I did not get to share Derek’s story or card as I gave the last card away earlier in the week when I gave some young lady her own pair of stainless steel chopsticks. The lady assured me profusely she will pay it forward and she and all her children thanked me and the smiles were every where. The clerk was as amazed as Mom was that I did that and kind of defeated the moment when she said thank you Robert. I have always liked a random act of kindness that is done face to face and no names are exchanged.
